Job Summary:

Under general supervision of the Wisconsin School of Business Director of Facilities and Event Services, this position oversees all areas related to the conferences, complex seminars, receptions, fairs, meetings and other campus special events (10-500 participants). The position requires the ability to interpret and apply complex University policies and procedures, occupancy codes, Grainger Hall building use policies and procedures and Dean of Students policies for Registered Student Organizations. This position is responsible for major functions which include: administrative operations, management of conferences and events, development of food and beverage service, provision of accounting functions, and directing work of student staff. This position provides meeting planning services for customers reserving space in Grainger Hall. Services include scheduling space, reserving audiovisual equipment, event planning, and catering sales for approximately 15,000 reservations and 1,200 catered events per year including extra academic sessions for timetable courses, meetings, workshops, conferences, banquets, luncheons and dinner meetings, receptions and special campus events.
