The Department of Pediatrics and Division of Respiratory Medicine, Allergy, and Immunology invite applications from pulmonary subspecialists to join the faculty at the University of Virginia. Candidates at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have an M.D. (or equivalent) and be board-certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Pediatrics, Pulmonology sub-board. It is expected that applicants will have strong interests in scholarship, teaching and clinical practice. Experience related to the general management of children with respiratory disorders including technology-dependence is highly desirable. This position will be tenure-eligible, or tenure-ineligible depending on the experience of the candidate, including higher degrees and publications.
Faculty in the Division participate in inpatient and outpatient consulting services and are encouraged to participate in research within the Department of Pediatrics and the Child Health Research Center. As an integral part of the education mission, the incumbent will actively participate in teaching of residents, and medical students. Experience in quality outcomes assessment and administration is also desirable.
