The School of Nursing at the University of Virginia is seeking applicants for an open rank general faculty position for a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Working among the nation's best nurse scholars, academics and students, the incumbents will prepare the next generation of nurses. Rank and compensation are dependent upon education, experience, and scholarship.

A DNP in nursing is required. Demonstrated strong clinical experience and extensive experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required. Applicants must have demonstrated progressive academic program leadership experience. A FNP certification and licensure in Virginia by the start date of the position is required. Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience and have relevant preceptor experience. An explicit commitment to diversity and of advancing understanding and outcomes for underrepresented groups is required. Demonstrated ability to deliver culturally competent clinical care is also required.
