Posting Summary:
The College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences seeks highly qualified applicants for an Administrative Coordinator to support the ongoing operations within the Media Studies Department. This position serves as first point of contact for faculty, staff, and students. The incumbent will be a key member of the administrative team, helping to launch the graduate program. In addition, they will administer the student and course transactions for the Graduate program and serve as event coordinator to organize graduation, conferences, and various functions publicizing events as needed. Financial responsibilities will include procurement of goods and services, honoraria payments, and reimbursements. The incumbent will resolve building-related issues and implement efficient procedures for smooth operations.

A High School diploma or equivalent with at least one year of experience is required. However, a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to lead a project to conclusion is required. The Administrative Coordinator must have working knowledge of office practices and procedures and Microsoft Office Suite. Command of tact and confidentiality is required as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to initiate, develop, and complete administrative projects with minimal or no supervision is required. Ability to multi-task is essential. Supervisory experience is desired, but not required. Experience working with students is a plus.
