The Clemson University Glenn Department of Civil Engineering invites applications to fill a full-time, renewable non tenure-track lecturer position starting August 2019. Exceptional candidates with considerable industrial experience may also be considered at the rank of Professor of Practice. We seek candidates who are willing and able to teach courses in the Construction Engineering and Management area (such as Economic Evaluation of Projects, Construction Engineering and Management, Construction Planning and Scheduling, and Construction Estimating and Project Control) as well as Capstone or other project-based courses. Being willing and able to teach other undergraduate CE courses and summer on-line courses will be considered a plus.

The candidate should also be willing to accept departmental service assignments. Candidates should hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in civil engineering or related fields; candidates holding a PhD degree in civil engineering or related fields will be given preference. Obtaining appropriate professional licensure or certification is required within a reasonable time.

The Glenn Department of Civil Engineering offers BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees and has 340 undergraduate students, not including freshman, 110 full-time graduate students, and 24 full-time faculty. The undergraduate civil engineering program is ABET accredited. More information about the department can be found at clemson.edu/ce.

The Glenn Department of Civil Engineering is planning to fill two faculty positions in the Construction Engineering and Management Area; one tenure-track position and the lecturer position described above.


QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's and a master's degree in civil engineering or related fields; candidates holding a PhD degree in civil engineering or related fields will be given preference. Obtaining appropriate professional licensure or certification is required within a reasonable time.
