The MGH Institute of Health Professions invites applications for two full-time faculty to join our growing team in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies program. We are seeking dynamic individuals who will be part of an interprofessional team within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS). These positions represent a unique opportunity for visionary professionals to support the Institute's goals of preparing physician assistant leaders, advancing health care for our diverse communities, and contributing to a culture of inclusive excellence.

Responsibilities. Faculty will be responsible for curriculum development, delivery, and evaluation, student advising, developing collaborative opportunities with community partners, and contributing to interprofessional education within SHRS. Faculty will play a prominent role in the program's ongoing accreditation activities. These positions include an expectation of serving on Institute committees and participating in scholarly activities.

One of these positions is being recruited specifically to teach anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology in our integrated, system-based curriculum using a team-based learning model. The second faculty will teach clinical medicine as it relates to their experience and education.



Qualifications

Qualifications. Faculty must hold a master's degree, with a doctorate preferred. Basic scientists, experienced PA or medical educators, and clinical faculty are encouraged to apply. Clinical faculty must be a NCCPA-certified physician assistant, a licensed nurse practitioner, or a board-certified physician with eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts with at least 5 years of clinical experience. Previous experience teaching in a medical school or physician assistant program is highly desirable. Applicants should have strong communication and organizational skills, with evidence of leadership. These positions are 12-month appointments, with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Institute does not offer tenure.
