A lab technician (or lab manager) position is immediately available in the Feng lab in the Department of Biological Science and Program in Neuroscience at FSU ( The lab is working on the molecular mechanisms of addiction by using mouse models, with a combination of mouse behavior, molecular biology, and genomics.

The major duties will include general lab management (ordering, organizing, record-keeping), performance of mouse genotyping, and management of a transgenic mouse colony. The candidate will also have opportunities to get involved into other ongoing research projects in the lab.

This will be full-time OPS position (8 hours/day, 5 days/week) with potential for continuation contingent on performance.


We are looking for a candidate who has great organization skills, basic bench experience, and, ideally, experience with lab mice handling.

Pay Plan

This is an OPS/temporary Job.

Soft Money Funded Position

This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.


If not otherwise specified, schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
