Job Description: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics, seeks qualified applicants for a newly authorized, tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning in academic year 2019-2020. The Department of Physics is one of the largest undergraduate-only programs in the United States, with approximately 110 undergraduate majors, and it provides physics courses to a large cohort of non-majors each semester. The department is located on LUC's Lake Shore Campus on Chicago's North Side. For more information about the department, visit our website at The successful candidate is expected to teach courses throughout the undergraduate physics curriculum for both physics majors and non-majors, conduct an ongoing research program in physics, and perform services for the department, college, and university as required.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree in physics or a closely related field. Teaching experience. Competitive for external funding.
