Position Summary: The Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases in the UNC School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Research Data Manager to support a number of HIV-related research projects. The Research Data Manager will complete data requests and queries and maintain research related databases. S/he will be responsible for developing, maintaining and updating a variety of relational databases for research study purposes, and will provide oversight of quality assurance and improvement systems, in accordance with study protocols, industry standards and applicable regulations and good practice. The Data Manager will work both independently and in collaboration with a diverse research team.

Education Requirements: Master's degree in a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field required with at least 3 years of related training or experience.
Qualification and Experience: Must have experience in research data management. Must have training in good clinical practice and protection of human subjects. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication, writing and presentation skills. Must have the demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities appropriately and organize workload effectively.
