Job description

Saint Mary’s College announces a tenure-track full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Religious Studies, beginning in August, 2019. We seek a broadly educated scholar-teacher with expertise in contemporary Catholic theology, ideally who can make connections with other Christian traditions and world religions. Candidates should be able to teach an introductory course in religious studies, a second general-education course in the Christian tradition, and an upper-level course in areas of contemporary Catholic theology. Preferred areas of teaching expertise include feminist theology, Latinx theology, and environmental studies. Demonstrated abilities in excellent undergraduate teaching are required. The position involves a 3/3 course load (2 preparations per semester).  Ph.D. in related field preferred, ABD considered. Department Website:
