The Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology at the University of Virginia is seeking Registered Nurses to work on a PRN basis. This position requires knowledge of study research procedures and protocols in an inpatient setting. Shifts include day, evening, night, weekend and holiday. Shifts are scheduled according to the needs of the study. Employees will report on an as-needed (PRN) basis, no more than 40 hours per week. Please note, you may not work more than a maximum of 1500 hours per year (calculated October 1st thru September 30th) as an hourly wage employee.
Qualified candidates must have an Associate's degree and be a licensed phlebotomist or RN who is skilled in placement of IV's and blood withdrawal and CPR certification or equivalent by date of hire. Skills acquired during training may be considered in lieu of experience.
This part-time wage position is restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.
