Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, genetics, chemistry, physiology or related field is required.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
At least one (1) year of experience working in a biomedical research laboratory is required. Experience with mammalian cell culture, aseptic technique and basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA cloning and plasmid purifications is required. Additional skills in electrophysiology, protein purification, immunostaining and Western blotting are preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
License or certificate:
The Czajkowski lab is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, responsible person who is excited about science to play an integral part in furthering our research in the structure, function and dynamics of ligand-gated ion channels.
