General Summary
The Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) unit is responsible for scoping, designing, delivering and managing business intelligence solutions to inform strategic decision-making at the University. The solutions use a combination of enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence frameworks. The Director is charged with:

a)Creating a vision and goals for the Enterprise Data & Analytics unit in support of the University's strategic plan, Educate Connect Elevate.
b)Planning, organizing, staffing, directing and providing oversight of the work of the unit.
c)Understanding industry standards, technology trends and best practices to ensure successful management of opportunities and risks for the information management, reporting and data usage environment.
d)Shaping the business intelligence strategy, data management strategies, and business intelligence architecture.
e)Helping the University optimize its data assets by understanding and promoting best practices in data management, customer service, business intelligence applications, data quality, and data security and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications
1.Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
2.Practical knowledge of and/or experience with SQL, Report writing, ETL, OLAP, data visualization or dashboards.
3.Minimum of five years of demonstrated knowledge of information management principles and practices.
4.Minimum of five years' experience leading information systems projects.
5.Minimal of five years' experience in higher education institutions, preferably at R1,R2, or R3 public university
6.Demonstrated record of success in leading large-scale information management projects.
7.Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence best practices including management for institutional-wide data, security and custodianship responsibilities.
8.Proven ability to balance theory and practical business reality to produce results
9.Strong understanding of collecting, analyzing and interpreting business and management needs/requirements.
10.Commitment to customer-driven development, service excellence and user satisfaction.
11.Ability to work collaboratively with campus colleagues, vendors and consultants.
12.Leadership skills that engender trust and mutual respect.
13.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
14.Excellent facilitation and team skills.
15.Foundation qualification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL v3) or ability to obtain with 12 month of hire.
16. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, then employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.

Desired Qualifications
1.Practical knowledge of and/or experience higher education ERP systems such as PeopleSoft (preferred) or Banner.
2.Accomplished presentation skills, including the presentation of complex technical topics to a range of audiences.
3.Experience with a variety of BI tools and technical environments
