Duties: This Resource Technologist A position reports to the Technical Director of the Human Immunology Core (HIC) Facility at the University of Pennsylvania. This individual is responsible for the performance of immunology assays including flow cytometry, multiplex luminex assay, digital ELISA, ELISA and ELISPOT assays. In addition, this individual will assist the Technical Director with new assay development, data analysis and results reporting. Additional duties include blood / tissue processing, equipment maintenance, reagent selection and validation, and developing or updating standard operating procedures.
Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Immunology or related subject and 0 to 1 year of laboratory bench experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required. In addition, strong written and oral communication abilities are required. Experience in developing SOPs, working under GLP conditions, performing flow cytometry and/or validating assays is preferred.
