EVENT COORDINATOR, CONFERENCES AND EVENTS

Job description

Duties: During the academic year, alongside colleagues in the Penn Law Conferences and Events Department, the preferred candidate will be responsible for organizing and implementing all aspects of faculty events (more than 250 per year).
From mid-May through mid-August, he/she will assist the Legal Education Programs team with executing and delivering world-class programming to a variety of audiences.
For both departments, organizational, event-planning and technology skills are essential. The candidate must approach work in a cooperative and service -oriented manner.

Qualifications: BA/BS or equivalent in experience required. 2-4 years of administrative experience required; events planning experience strongly preferred. Ability to work well with others in a service-oriented environment; positive attitude and interest in getting the work of the team done are essential. Must be able to demonstrate ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks; excellent attention to detail; flexibility. Excellent facility with technological tools including word processing (in a Word Environment), spreadsheets, presentation software, web posting/html, scanning. Must be able to work under pressure with time constraints; occasional need for evening and/or weekend staffing of faculty events.
