Advertised Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, this position will provide computer programming and information systems analyses to support operational data needs of the campus, to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness of the campus, and to support institutional research and assessment activities at USCA. Under general supervision, will conduct needs assessments, work-flow analyses, write and revise computer programs, design, implement and maintain new systems, and offer database expertise as a means of providing essential information to operational end-users, campus decision makers, and other audiences. Must have a bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems or related field and 3 years related experience; or equivalency. Must be proficient with MS SQL, MySQL, Sybase, Oracle, Access and web programming in HTML and ASP; experience working with large databases; experience with Banner and authoring reports in Cognos using ODS data; minimum level of keyboarding proficiency. Ability to interpret programming and data requests; analyze requirements; and author programs to fulfill campus needs. Must be able to maintain server, using Windows Server 2012, IIS, MS SQL Server platforms. Other essential skills include: ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across campus; ability to communicate effectively; extreme attention to detail; good time management skills, ability to maintain confidentiality; and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems or related field and 3 years related experience; or equivalency.
