PROFESSOR OF THE PRACTICE OF PEACE & SECURITY, Pardee School of Global Studies

The Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University invites applications for appointment as Professor of the Practice of Peace & Security, non-tenure track. The successful candidate will be a distinguished practitioner who has had a high-level policy career in government (including military), international, or non-governmental organizations working on issues such as military and defense planning, conflict resolution and prevention, peacekeeping, or humanitarian and emergency assistance. Issues of particular interest include security policymaking, military strategy and operations, peacekeeping and conflict resolution, and emerging strategic challenges (e.g., cybersecurity, WMD proliferation, non-traditional security threats). The professor of the practice will teach courses in his/her areas of expertise, and will also advise and mentor students pursuing professional careers in the military, security policy, foreign policy, and conflict resolution. Prior teaching experience and a record of publication and research is not required but will be considered a plus.
