Nature of Work:
This individual will assist and support military students of Albany State University.
Training and Experience:
An associate degree with experience in higher education required. Knowledge of admissions, financial aid, VA benefits, degree programs, and Banner is desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills, confidentiality in performing duties, flexibility, and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships are required.
Illustrative Examples of Work:
*Report enrollment to the VA for educational benefits.
*Work with military affiliated students in completing paperwork for admissions, financial aid, and educational benefits.
*Build relationships within the community as a sense of support and connection for military students.
*Collect required documentation for military-related waivers and submit for processing by Registrar.
*Support targeted orientations and other events to aid in student success.
*Support retention efforts of military affiliated students.
*Perform other job-related duties as required.
