Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts-based institution located on a wooded 131-acre campus in Milton, MA just seven miles from downtown Boston. Classes for adult learners are also offered at our campus in historic Plymouth.  Curry College is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education  (NECHE), and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Curry College offers 27 undergraduate majors, over 60 minors and concentrations, as well as four graduate programs.

The vision of the School of Nursing is to develop leaders who use evidence-based knowledge to practice nursing with compassion, commitment, and creativity.  Our faculty educate nurses to apply knowledge humanely, intelligently, and effectively in a complex changing world. Curry College School of Nursing offers several programs: Traditional BS in Nursing; Accelerated Second-Degree BS in Nursing; RN to BS completion; and an MSN with two tracks: education and administration. The curriculums are based on Quality and Safety Education in Nursing competencies. The Curry College Baccalaureate Nursing Program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The School of Nursing is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor to teach Foundational and/or Population Health courses beginning in the fall of 2019. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated expertise, prior teaching experience, evidence of scholarship and a strong desire to help shape the future nursing workforce.  The scope of responsibilities includes teaching, advising, scholarship, and service at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Applicants should be prepared to teach day and evening courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats across all programs at our Milton and Plymouth campuses.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An earned Doctorate in Nursing or a Doctorate in a related field with an MS in Nursing; (ABD considered with completion date by August 2019).
  • A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in Population Health Nursing or related area;
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level (experience with online teaching and simulation is a plus);
  • An unrestricted Massachusetts RN license or eligibility for Massachusetts RN licensure.
  • Current CPR Certification.
