Part-time Associate Lecturers, Sociology

Job description

The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice seeks candidates for part-time Associate Lecturers. The Associate Lecturer will teach in our undergraduate and continuing education Sociology programs, both day and evening courses, on both our Milton and Plymouth campuses, starting in the Spring of 2019. 

Minimum Requirements:

A Master’s Degree in Sociology required.  Candidate must have the ability to teach both core and elective courses in Sociology such as: Wealth, Poverty and Social Class, Race and Ethnicity, and Social Movements.  In addition, candidates must have both day and evening availability and willingness to teach on both the Milton and Plymouth (evening only) campuses.  Evening courses are hybrid and candidate should be either comfortable with or willing to be trained on hybrid delivery methods. The department is seeking candidates with a strong history of effective teaching.  Screening and review of candidate application materials will begin November 15, 2018.
