The Frank J. Remington Center (FJRC) is an educational program at the University of Wisconsin Law School. One of the oldest, largest, and most diverse clinics in the country, the Remington Center's clinical projects and staff are dedicated to educating students of law; providing free legal services to low income, incarcerated, and vulnerable populations; and informing and improving the criminal justice system through research, advocacy, and community outreach.
This position will be responsible for a broad range of duties to support more than 15 clinical faculty members across 12 clinical projects that provide clinical opportunities to almost a hundred students annually and legal services/ representation to thousands of clients each year.
Candidates will be responsible for assisting faculty and staff with a variety of needs that may evolve over time. Primary duties at this time will include assisting with office administration and program support. Experience with programs the University of Wisconsin currently supports, such as Outlook, Box, Access and Canvas, is preferred. Preference will also be given to bilingual candidates.
The minimum hourly rate is $15.42/hour, but starting rate will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, etc.
Business hours are 7:45am - 4:30pm with a 45 minute lunch break, but schedule is somewhat flexible.
