Must be committed to both undergraduate and graduate instruction along with a vigorous research program.

Position Summary:

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering seeks a faculty member to augment and enhance departmental strengths in research and teaching in the Construction Engineering and Management area. Outstanding candidates with national and international recognition in these areas are encouraged to apply. This appointment is open at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor level. Professorship or Fellowship opportunities may be available to outstanding candidates. Must be willing to work with industry partners and industry consortium members of the department.

Candidates must be able to develop and maintain innovative research programs on technological problems that are relevant to the needs of the profession and society; participate in undergraduate and graduate instruction in the areas of technical competence; participate in faculty governance; participate in department, university, professional, and public service; participate with industry leader advisory board; and work with industry partners.

Specialty areas of primary research interest include (but are not limited to) construction engineering and construction management, virtual design, construction and building fabrication, lean construction and integrated project delivery, advanced technologies in construction, risk management and sustainable construction.
