The University of Connecticut is seeking an experienced marketing associate to coordinate print and web marketing projects, and develop content designed to promote and/or inform target audiences about the University of Connecticut. The successful candidate will be expected to exercise originality, creativity and to regularly develop his/her own ideas within broad guidelines established by the supervisor. Work is varied and requires a sound understanding of subject and target audience. Work may include organizing and writing for projects such as websites, printed material, print and digital advertising, radio and video scripts.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; 2-4 years' professional writing or marketing experience; advanced writing and grammatical skills, as demonstrated by writing samples; proven ability to establish project plans, meet deadlines, take initiative, and work independently to carry out difficult assignments; advanced communication and interpersonal skills; basic knowledge of graphic design and awareness of graphic needs to complement content and platform.
Demonstrated understanding of advertising; demonstrated copywriting experience for marketing awareness and engagement; script writing experience; understanding of using analytics to inform decision-making; agency experience.
This is a permanent, full-time position at the Storrs Campus.
