Position Summary

Position provides supervision and leadership for 21 full-time employees, 8 graduate students and 150+ student employees who support the programs and manage crisis in the residence halls and office functions. Position provides strategic direction and leadership to Residence Life in promoting student learning. Development and assessment of learning outcomes is expected. Teaching and course development is also an essential part of position. The position is expected to contribute to the body of professional knowledge in housing and residence life through publications, research and national/regional presentations.

Minimum Qualifications

A Master's Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Student Development or closely related field is required. Six to ten years of proven experience in the management of a residence life program in progressively responsible positions is necessary. The position does require some evenings and weekends and crisis response. Strong communication skills, team approach, and experience with change management is highly desired.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Student Development or closely related field. A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in management of a residence life program is preferred.
