Posting Summary:
The McIntire Department of Art at the University of Virginia seeks applications to fill a non-tenure track instructional position teaching one course during the 2019 Spring semester. Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to, Impressionism and Post-Impressionism in Europe and North America. Ability to cover artistic movements in nineteenth-century Scandinavia and Central Europe preferred. Compensation will take the form of wages, which does not include benefits. A Master's Degree in Art History is required. Advanced candidacy or a PhD in a relevant field is preferred. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching.
