INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA DESIGNER
Responsible for supporting multimedia and instructional technology services for the Department of Anesthesiology. Will provide technical assistance, and training to faculty and staff for programs utilizing these platforms with focus on medical simulation program.
The Simulation Technology and Media Specialist will work with the Human Simulation & Patient Safety Center to provide technical expertise, instructional support, and advocacy in health care simulation at the UME, GME, and CME levels. This position coordinates all aspects of the medical simulation program including performing pre- and post-simulation activities, executing simulation sessions, collaborating with faculty and staff on scenario development, and supporting the daily operations of the Center.
This position also provides technical and audiovisual administrative coordination of the Center and maintains pertinent documentation and resources.
Assist in promoting the innovative use of simulation, multimedia, and IT capabilities of the department among faculty, staff, and students.
Educate users on possibilities and procedures associated with department-wide infrastructure. Provide supplemental assistance in photography and videos for department-related educational content.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Work requires knowledge of instructional audiovisual media programs and materials normally acquired through a bachelor's degree in Education Media, Instructional Design, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
Work generally requires two years experience in curriculum development, instructional design, medical education, television,instructional technology or a related area to acquire the ability to develop media design programs and plan and manage production and audiovisual projects.A master's degree in Educational Media, Instructional Design or a related field may be substituted for experience.OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
