Assistant Professor, Natural Resource and Environmental Economist
The faculty member will be expected to develop a strong research and teaching program in the area of natural resource economics. Specific responsibilities include the following:
Develop a nationally recognized research program in natural resource and environmental economics, with an emphasis on issues related to Oklahoma resources.
Develop productive multidisciplinary working relationships with faculty that have similar research interests.
Explore opportunities for external funding for research.
Teach an undergraduate course in Natural Resource Economics or Environmental Economics, and another undergraduate or graduate course.
Serve as an advisor and research supervisor for M.S. and Ph.D. students.
Advise undergraduate agribusiness, agricultural economics, and environmental science students.
Communicate research results to professional peers, industry, government, and the general public.
Coordinate appropriate research efforts with Extension faculty, government agencies and other interested organizations.
This is an 11-month, tenure track faculty position.
Appointment period is academic year - July 1 through May 31
Will require hours to include some early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends to meet research and/or student responsibilities.
Hiring Range:(Contingent upon available funding): Commensurate
