Lecturer of Music (Tuba/Euphonium)
Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time
General Summary of Responsibilities: The Department of Music seeks applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position. Position will be responsible for teaching tuba/euphonium majors at the undergraduate and graduate levels, minor and secondary students, tuba/ euphonium pedagogy course, Tuba/Low Brass Methods course for MAT program, and other department courses as assigned. The position will also be responsible for performing as the principal tubist with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra. Faculty members are expected to make substantive contributions to the Department including mentoring, departmental and university service, and community service. Required Qualifications: Master of Music in Tuba performance or Master of Music in Education with significant experience as a professional tubist. A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as scholarship, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
