Assistant Professor of Viola
Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time
General Summary of Responsibilities: The Department of Music invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2019. The position will be responsible for teaching applied music in viola, pedagogy, methods courses in area as assigned, and courses in the core for area B and C as assigned both in online and traditional delivery. Faculty members are expected to make substantive contributions to the Department including mentoring, departmental and university service, and community service. Required Qualifications: DMA in Viola performance by appointment date. Evidence of accomplishment as a professional orchestra performer and collaborative artist. Collegiate teaching experience with large format and on-line teaching for institutional general education courses. A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as scholarship, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
