General Summary of Responsibilities: The Department of Communication Arts seeks applicants for Lecturer of Mass Media. This is an academic, non-tenure track position. The position will be responsible for teaching a 5/5 course load (fall/spring) in media production and media writing. The areas of media production include audio production, video production, studio production, and field production. This position will be primarily responsible for teaching courses related to news writing and production including a news workshop class and the creation of a regular news program. Other teaching assignments are possible based on qualifications and experience. Courses will be delivered in traditional, online, hybrid, and in off-campus formats. Faculty members are expected to make substantive contributions to the Department including department, university, and community service.
