Position Summary: The position of Assistant Professor in Technology Studies will begin on July 1, 2019. Responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in media and technology studies, conducting research, supervising dissertations, performing departmental, university, and public service. Salary is competitive.

Education Requirements: PH.D. (Completed or near completion by July 2019) in Communication or related discipline, with a specialization in technology studies.
Qualification and Experience: The Department of Communication is particularly interested in a scholar with a critical-cultural approach to technology. We are open to a wide range of specialties, theories and perspectives. Candidates whose research addresses questions of media and technology in relation to marginalized, disenfranchised and traditionally under-represented groups are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a record of, or potential for, outstanding teaching, research, and service.
