Affiliated (Part-Time) Faculty Member in Political Science Spring 2019

The Institute for Liberal Arts & Interdisciplinary Studies at Emerson College is looking for an Affiliated (part-time) faculty member to fill one Political Science course opening for the Spring 2019 semester, January 14-May 1, 2019. The course is PL220 International Politics.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:
PL220 International Politics Explores the nature, techniques, and problems of interaction among states. Students understand the development of the modern state system; the evolution of alliances and collective security; and the role of law, morality, and international organizations. They also analyze in depth the history of America’s involvement in 20th century the international relations.

For the Spring 2019 term, PL220 is scheduled to meet twice a week on Monday and Wednesday from 2:00-3:45 pm (section 1) and Monday and Wednesday from 4:00-5:45pm (section 2). Enrollment for each section is capped at 35 students and candidates may express interest in teaching one or both sections.

The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
