The Department of Risk Management/Insurance, Real Estate, and Legal Studies houses nationally acclaimed faculty and programs in both risk management/insurance and real estate, and is home to the Dr. William T. Hold/The National Alliance Program in Risk Management and Insurance. The program and faculty are nationally ranked and are supported by two active centers.


The FSU College of Business is seeking to fill one specialized faculty position in risk management and insurance beginning in August 2018. The faculty member will teach four courses per semester at the undergraduate level.
Teaching responsibilities can include introductory classes in risk management and insurance and one or more upper division course(s) as appropriate based on work experience. Some service to the university and profession is also expected. This is a non-tenured and non-tenure earning position.


Candidates must possess a minimum of a master’s degree from an AACSB-accredited college of business and extensive work experience in insurance or risk management. A Ph.D. or equivalent in risk management or a related field is preferred.
Successful candidates must be able to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students.
