Resident Life Assistant, Live-In

Resident Life Assistant live-In position requires the employee to live in the PACE dorm September through June in line with the academic year. Students receive services on a quarterly basis. Staff are not going to be scheduled to work during winter, spring, and summer breaks.
Resident Life Assistants facilitate a healthy living and learning environment for P.A.C.E. students, while modeling and partnering with students to participate fully in dorm, college and community life.
•Actively leads Student Life activities, including facilitating student clubs, participating in community and dorm student activities.
•Provides daily morning and evening life skills support to students on a daily basis by referencing chore lists posted in each unit (i.e. cleaning, laundry, meal planning, grocery list creation, etc.)
•Maintains rotating “on call” hours after curfew: responds to overnight student emergencies, and responsible for contacting Student Life Supervisor or Manager to address significant issues or severe incidents needing immediate attention.
•Facilitates students’ understanding and compliance with morning and evening schedules / routines and roommate contract.
•Assists PACE staff to problem solve with students needing assistance with dorm-related issues.
•Completes student records, logs, and reports as required, including mentoring and assisting students with quarterly Portfolio preparation. Participates in Student Life staff meetings, PACE staff meetings as requested, and department and university meetings (as required).
•Assists with organizing systems and procedures, including organizing and maintaining supplies, furnishings and equipment. Participates in training events, as required.
Bachelor’s degree along with 1 year related experience or 2 years related experience with senior level undergraduate standing.
