Posting Summary:
The Department of Psychology at the University of Virginia seeks an instructor with a PhD in Psychology for a one-year appointment as an Academic General Faculty Member (Tenure-Ineligible) at the Assistant Professor rank, starting August 25, 2018, through May 24, 2019. The position may be renewed for a second year, based on performance and the availability of funds.

The successful candidate will teach two courses in the fall and three courses in the spring, with the balance of duties (17%) being comprised of academic advising to undergraduate or masters students. The courses may include Research Methods II; Research Methods: R for Psychology Research, Research Methods: Child Development or Social Psychology. Applicants must have a PhD in hand at the time of application; or they may be scheduled to defend not later than May 1, 2018, so long as they hold the degree by June 15, 2018. Applicants must also have previous teaching experience in Quantitative Psychology. Compensation will take the form of full-time salary with full-time benefits.
