Position Summary: The Department of Occupational Therapy is seeking faculty applicants for Assistant Professor in the Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy (OTA) Program, beginning August 2016. This is a nine-month, non-tenure appointment with teaching responsibilities through the school year beginning in August and ending in May of the academic year. Teaching responsibilities include the development of course work, the delivery of quality instruction and mentoring of the OTA students as they matriculate through the curriculum. The faculty has a responsibility to set degree requirements, assess when they are met, and establish and maintain curricula that meet standards set forth by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), as well as meeting professional standards and fulfilling the educational goals of the University.
- Faculty create coursework relevant to course topics
- Faculty teach on average 9 hours per semester
- Faculty advise students on academic matters
General Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability: Knowledge and interest in the area of occupational therapy and the role and scope of the occupational therapy assistant
Minimum Qualifications: A Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Faculty must be a licensed Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Arkansas, or be eligible to apply for Arkansas state licensure.
