The Office of Advancement in the School of Engineering seeks a Data Analyst for Reporting and Gift Administration to oversee the report development, data analysis, and gift administration. The Data Analyst reports to the Director of Annual Giving and Strategic Initiatives and supports our growing, highly-integrated, and collaborative advancement team pursuing ambitious fundraising goals leading into the University's multi-billion-dollar Third Century Campaign. The incumbent plays a critical role in this endeavor by coordinating the data analysis for successful fundraising strategies and coordinating with the Central Advancement Business Intelligence group on reporting and data visualization. The Data Analyst for Reporting and Gift Administration is responsible for ensuring proper gift designations, reporting of endowed and current use funds, working with internal entities to accurately establish new funds, maintaining donor records, and performing other broad-based administrative support responsibilities as needed.
A Bachelor's degree is required, as are three years of professional experience in academic, business, or development activities and operations. The Data Analyst must have a proven ability to research and analyze financial information, demonstrate skill and ability in report development and programming, and the ability to convey concepts clearly using appropriate data reporting and visualization techniques. An advanced knowledge of data modeling and ranking tools is required, as is the ability to manage detailed and accurate reports. A focus on client needs, and the ability to work both independently and with a team is essential. High degrees of written and oral communication, personal initiative, time management, attention to detail, problem solving, accountability for product and outcome, and the ability to meet deadlines, are all essential components to the role. Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in Excel, SQL, and strong technical skills are required. Candidates with Ellucian Advance will be given preference.
