Job Summary/Basic Function:
The department of technical communication at the University of North Texas invites applications for the assistant professor position (tenure track) in technical communication, beginning fall 2019.

As a tenure track member of the faculty, candidates will be expected to develop a record of scholarly research necessary to obtain tenure and to regularly teach undergraduate and graduate technical communication courses. The typical teaching load for junior faculty is 2/2.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in technical communication, professional communication, or related field by the time of appointment. Applicants should have a defined research agenda the ability to teach a variety of foundational courses in the field of technical communication and experience teaching courses in technical communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who have a scholarly and/or pedagogical interest in content management and development or user experience.
