The Department of History in the College of Arts and Humanities invites applications and nominations for the position of Lecturer of U.S./World History. This position will be located on the Liberty campus in Hinesville, but may require teaching on the other campuses.

Within this setting, the Department of History offers Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in history and a concentration and certificate in Public History. The department has 38 faculty members with diverse fields of expertise. The person hired into this position will be expected to contribute to history teaching on the Liberty campus which islocatedin Hinesville and attracts students from throughout the area in addition to members of the armed forces and their families from Fort Stewart Army Base.
Position Description. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of History, the position requires teaching U.S. and World history survey courses, as well as upper-division courses in the instructor's area of expertise. The teaching load is a minimum of four courses each semester, with the possibility of teaching in the summer. Additional duties include regular faculty service responsibilities. The position is a 10-month, non-tenure-track appointment, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
