The Executive Dean is the strategic, academic, and operational leader for Antioch University Online (AUO), responsible for all educational programs and student services activities, consistent with the mission of Antioch University.  The Executive Dean is responsible for the administration of all academic and student services operations and as well as for overseeing the hiring, supervising, and evaluating, faculty, academic support, student services, and other AUO personnel.  The Executive Dean provides expertise to AUO and the University regarding high quality, innovative online educational programming and student support services.

The Executive Dean participates in the leadership of the University, serving on the Council of Chief Academic Officers, the University Academic Council, and the University Leadership Council. The Executive Dean is also responsible for leading assigned academic initiatives to ensure academic cohesiveness and high quality across the university; to integrate, scale up, and develop academic programs; and to promote growth across the university.

The Executive Dean works closely with the Vice Chancellors and Directors of the other University offices, including finance, admissions, registrar, financial aid, and student accounts, facilities, and marketing. The Executive Dean is responsible for ensuring quality online service provision, establishing AUO strategic priorities and operational needs, and tracking key performance and financial metrics. The Executive Dean develops and implements AUO’s plan for partnership development and continuing education initiatives.
