The Institute for Medical Education (IME) Program Manager provides overall support for the Institute for Medical Education, which serves to promote and advance innovative medical education and scholarship as well as recognize and reward outstanding educators across the Mount Sinai Health System. The Institute is invested in developing, mentoring and retaining the best educators for our students, residents, and faculty. The Program Manager role reports to the Director of the IME.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and facilitate all IME activities, from program planning to day-of program operations in collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director, design and execute events and programs including grand rounds, award ceremonies, recognition events, social receptions, and faculty development workshops
    • Maintain calendar of events
    • Prepare and distribute program materials such as invitations, programs, and registration lists
    • Coordinate catering and space arrangements, CME applications, guest list coordination, and travel for outside speakers
  • Support faculty development facilitators with scheduling and logistics of training sessions throughout the Mount Sinai health system; attend sessions as needed to assist faculty
  • Collaborate with administration, faculty, and external partners to integrate IME activities throughout all other Mount Sinai programming
  • Prepare post-program summaries analyzing costs, program successes, and areas for improvement and submit materials to the Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) when applicable
  • Manage all IME review committee logistics; liaise with committee chairs and members to maintain the integrity of fair processes and proceedings; prepare and disseminate review materials to respective committee members; report results
  • Develop communication plans in collaboration with marketing and web development groups to promote the IME and its programming
  • Maintain projected and final program budgets with attention to cost savings, and follow up on all invoice/payment requests
  • Perform other duties as needed

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree required

Minimum Related Experience
3+ years experience in program management, event planning, or a related field
