Physical Therapy Assistant/UKHC

Job description



The PT Assistant's primary function is to perform therapy for patients who have been evaluated by a physical therapist. The PTA's secondary functions include carrying out department related functions as determined by his/her immediate supervisor such as chart audits and/or general cleaning duties. Will also assist the supervisor and senior leaders in program development while adhering to the policies and procedures of the University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise and in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Requires heavy lifting; pushing and/or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.



Shift

Primarily Monday through Friday day shifts; rotating weekends and holidays required.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of dependability and strong attention to detail.

At least two years of work experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, preferably in a hospital setting.
