Position Summary: The SPROUTS study (Parents, Toddlers and Preschoolers (SPROUTS) - Development of Eating Behaviors in Young Children) is a follow-up of the PEAS (Pregnancy Eating Attributes Study) cohort. The proposed research will continue to follow these participants (mother and child dyads) from age 2 to 5 years to examine the development of responses to food and food stimuli and the association of early life exposure to discretionary foods on diet-related behavioral and health outcomes. This position will gather, edit, analyze, and report data on children 3-5 years old and their parents. This position will complete defined assignments in the following areas under supervision and direction: preliminary literature searches; data collection (described in detail below), compilation and management of data; quality assurance and quality control of data; analysis by statistical or other means; generation/production of new data/information; editing and formatting of reports. Specifically, data collection is three-fold: 1) contact participants previously enrolled in the Pregnancy Eating Attributes Study (PEAS) and recruit them into the extension study: SPROUTS. 2) Once recruited the Research Assistant (RA) will obtain informed consent and gather research data on the mother - child dyads. This includes but is not limited to height and weight measurements, administering surveys in an online format, administering psychometric tests, safely preparing snacks. 3) Administering 24-hr recalls with the parents to assess child diet. This position will receive on the job training in the above assessments, including psychometric assessments and 24-hr recalls, however previous experience is preferred. It is important to work closely with the PI and other research staff involved in these projects. This job focuses on: 1) maintaining contact with the participants for the duration of the study 2) completing assessments with children in a child friendly and appropriate manner. This position will be 100% focused on the study.
