Job Summary:

Under general supervision of the HR Manager, function as a Human Resources Business Partner in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) within CALS Human Resources. This position shares responsibility for CALS employees, including Faculty, Academic, Limited, University, Post-Degree, Student Assistants, Student Hourly, and Other employees/appointees, and has specific responsibilities related to a subset of departments/units/programs within CALS. This position is responsible for ensuring that work is consistent with department/unit/program, CALS, University, State, and Federal policies, codes, statutes, and related agreements.

This position works in a team environment to support the human resources, payroll, and benefits needs of departments/units/programs and employees/appointees. The position: A) Coordinates and administers the recruitment, staffing, classification, and employment life cycle processes for all employee categories; B) Coordinates and administers payroll and benefit processes for departments/units/programs and employees, providing assistance with related functions; and C) Provides administrative support for general human resources and payroll related functions, compliance monitoring, project planning and implementation, training, and other related human resources/payroll needs.
