Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related
discipline. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a research laboratory setting is required. Undergraduate experience will qualify. An ideal candidate will be fluent in basic molecular cloning and mutagenesis techniques. Experience with basic biochemistry techniques, particularly protein expression and purification, would be advantageous but not required.

The Department of Neuroscience is looking for a motivated individual to be an active participant and assist with all all aspects of the lab's research aimed at understanding the function and structure of ion channels.
