Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, or a degree in Biological Sciences

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Required attributes:

Preparation of mRNA from laboratory mouse tissue repository, generation of cDNA, quantitative rtPCR.

Demonstrated skill in generating reproducible replicate data from rtPCR analyses using 96 well plate format

License or Certificate:

Position Summary:

Duties include the isolating of mRNA from liver and other tissues and the completion of real-time PCR analyses in order to understand the impact of nutritional modulation on gene expression in a tissue-specific manner.
