Degree and area of specialization:

Master's degree in population health/epidemiology, statistics/biostatistics/data science, public health, psychology, communication, economics, or related field is required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

A minimum 1 year of experience directly supervising research projects or providing project management support or experience with data collection management, and analysis from human subjects (ideally in a health care, academic, psychological, or social services setting) is preferred.

Experience preferred in the following areas:
1. Database creation and management (e.g., MS Access, REDCap, OnCore)
2. Dataset creation, management, and analysis in Stata or SAS
3. Research study and data tool collection design
4. Survey design and administration, including web-based survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics or REDCap)
5. Management of undergraduate and graduate student researchers
6. Grant and progress report writing

Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and are capable of leading other staff members. They have experience working with quantitative data throughout a project lifecycle, from the grant proposal to writing manuscripts. Ideal candidates must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, a quick learner, resilient, collaborate well with team members and collaborators, write clearly and effectively, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Title and pay rate will be determined at the time of hire based on candidate qualifications and experience.

The ProKids Research team is seeking an enthusiastic data manager to assist faculty and staff in implementing and supervising data collection, management and analysis for various research projects.

Additional Information:

Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings to accommodate research activities. Must be able to travel to clinical sites in Madison and beyond. Must provide own transportation or a valid driver's license and clean driving record (if fleet car usage is requested).
