General Summary of Position:

The University of Massachusetts Lowell is committed to increasing diversity in its faculty, staff, and student populations. The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapist to join our program as an Adjunct Faculty Member to teach Cardiopulmonary Lecture and Labs and enhance the cardiopulmonary curriculum. The new faculty member would join a growing department of dynamic, collegial and diverse faculty with robust Interprofessional Research Programs in the Department, College, and University.

The Physical Therapy Department has been in operation since 1980 and enjoys a 40-year history of successfully educating and training well respected physical therapists. The UMass Lowell Doctorate Physical Therapy Program is located 45 minutes from Boston, and UMASS Medical School in Worcester. UMass Lowell is ranked No. 152 by U.S. News & World Report, making it the second-fastest-rising university in the nation since 2010.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Doctorally prepared in Physical Therapy
  • Licensed for Physical Therapy Practice in US
  • 3 Years’ Clinical Experience in Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Practice or acute care
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Specialization preferred
  • Graduate Teaching Experience preferred
