Department Overview
The Office of Research Integrity and Compliance (ORIC) educates and supports the UNT research community with regulatory guidelines concerning human subjects (Institutional Review Board), animal subjects (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee), financial conflict of interest (COI), responsible conduct of research (RCR), and export controls.

Job Description
The Office of Research Integrity and Compliance (ORIC) at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Research Compliance Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Responsible for managing the administrative operations of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Conflict of Interest Committee (COI) and Responsible Conduct of Research Program (RCR)
* Reviewing animal research protocols and conflict of interest disclosures to ensure they are in compliance with regulations prior to Committee review
* Processes and reviews protocol modifications, continuing reviews, and closures
* Oversees COI annual disclosure process and maintains updated disclosures for proposed and awarded funding
* Provides guidance to researchers regarding their protocols and disclosures, assists incoming questions/inquiries from faculty, staff, and students regarding IACUC, COI and RCR
* Manages protocol and disclosure databases, maintains filing systems
* Coordinates logistics for committee meetings, drafts all meeting correspondence and meeting minutes
* Maintains and submits required regulatory reports to agencies, assists with lab inspections and semiannual inspections, audit requests, congruency reviews, post-approval monitoring and programmatic reviews
* Analyzes, researches and gathers data when needed to assist researchers and team members with problematic issues related to submissions
* Assists with the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) program, creates presentations and provides regulatory education training, workshops, seminars and webinars to the university community
* Serves as backup analyst for processing human subjects research protocols and overseeing the Institutional Review Board (IRB) program
* Assists with problem-solving issues regarding electronic systems, submissions and reporting mechanisms
* Assists Director with specialized compliance projects
* Assists with various office tasks: incoming calls, e-mail correspondence, incoming visitors
* Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Public Administration, or related field and three years of professional business administration work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Ability to understand, analyze and communicate effectively with faculty and administrators regarding human subject research.
* Ability to handle multiple, time-critical tasks.
* Ability to respond to and resolve routine inquiries or complaints from faculty
and staff.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, website content
construction, communication and basic statistical operations.
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
* Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in research compliance with working knowledge of DHHS, FDA, USDA and OLAW regulations or equivalent training in a compliance, legal or research position
* Preferably 3-5 years in higher education
