Responsibilities

You will create and grow the design concept and aesthetic of the Marymount University brand, which is an integral component of marketing, student enrollment, and employee recruitment strategies.


Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency and 3 years of visual/graphic arts experience
• 3 to 5 years of work experience


Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to the area of assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Professional certification in graphic design, or related discipline
• Interest in the higher education industry

Job Duties

Responsibility / Duty

RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Creating original work or manipulating our existing brand design
• Partner with the entire Marketing team, to include collaborative projects with Communications, Photography/Videography, Development, Student Affairs, and others
• Manage multiple projects and oversee the MU brand design identity
• Design electronic collateral, email, digital marketing, and official University print
Publications including advertisements
• Create graphics for social media, posters, logos and new designs
• Provide artwork to support web and social media content
• Support in filing and monitoring copyrights for MU material
• Assist with other related communications and office duties, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS :
• High school diploma or equivalency and 3 years of visual/graphic arts experience
• 3 to 5 years of work experience
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Cloud applications
• Strong understanding of typography and print hierarchy
• Excellent written communication and research skills
• Amazing design skills, accuracy, ability to meet tight deadlines, teamwork, strong organization and a knack for storytelling are a must
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management concepts, principles, and technical capabilities
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, possessing the ability to interface with audiences of all levels throughout the University
• Ability to identify value-added opportunities and develop associated plans to incorporate ideas
• Capacity to work flexible hours
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
• Bachelor's degree related to the area of assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Professional certification in graphic design, or related discipline
• Interest in the higher education industry
• Ability to lead complex projects of large scope
• Identifies and partners with vendors to deliver optimal solutions that meet the organizations quality and cost standards
• Working knowledge of patent laws and copyright filing process
